Warm, Not Cute
Peppie’s charm is in the details — a slight tilt of the head, a half-beat pause before a jump. Never saccharine. Never winking at the camera.

Pepper-shaker-shaped, quietly expressive, permanently in motion. Peppie shows up wherever the plate is hot \u2014 in the corner of a logo, jumping off a wave, pointing you toward the next good bite.

Pull the line

Origin
Born on a Ginza sidewalk, 1994. First job: waving from the door of our very first store.
Peppie is our pepper shaker, drawn with feet, hands, and a steady warmth. Unlike most mascots, Peppie isn’t the loudest thing in the room — the plate is. Peppie’s job is to greet, to gesture, and to quietly do a tiny dance when something good happens.
Across our stores in 17 countries, Peppie appears in the same proportions, with the same eyes, in the same palette. Local teams adapt the language. Peppie stays Peppie.
Peppie’s charm is in the details — a slight tilt of the head, a half-beat pause before a jump. Never saccharine. Never winking at the camera.
At rest, Peppie breathes. Mid-action, Peppie stretches and squashes with real physics. Static Peppie is a last resort.
Peppie doesn’t stand in front of the food. Peppie peeks, waves, points toward what matters — the plate, the guest, the moment.
Across Tokyo, Jakarta, Dallas, Lima — Peppie reads as the same character. No local re-skins, no alternate costumes.
Each pose carries direction notes so any illustrator, animator, or developer knows exactly what Peppie is doing and why. Anything not on this list needs a conversation first.
